The "Casa dos Plátanos" (Sycamore House), is located 6Km from the city of Amarante. For those in the mood, there is a golf course 400m away and an aquapark 1 Km away.
The house has four bed rooms, two doubles and two singles, and it has room for eight people. Besides the four bedrooms, it also has a living room, a Kitchen and a bathroom. In the courtyard you will find a wine cellar, very useful in a hot summer day, and a traditional stone oven where you can cook delicious roasts or simply enjoy a good barbecue.
But if you ask me, the garden is my favourite part of the house. From the garden you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Serra do Marão, the mountains where this region is nestled. In the garden you can play in the lawn with your children or just take a confortable nap, under a sycamore tree.
